  Windows 7 Is Coming
After the dismal reception of Windows Vista several years ago, Microsoft has been hard at work developing their latest Operating System: Windows 7. Microsoft promises that the new OS will address many of the usability issues that Vista users complained of including ease of use, speed and the amount of size it takes up on your hard drive. But what does this all mean for you?

Windows XP is becoming increasingly more difficult to find installed on new PC’s and software manufacturers are beginning to phase out support for the 8 year old system. While this doesn’t mean that you need to rush out and purchase a new computer tomorrow, it does mean that when you are in need of a new computer you will be better off purchasing one with newer software on it. This will increase the longevity of your computer and provide you with additional software and support options as they become available for Windows 7.

One issue that many users will still face with the release of Windows 7 is incompatibility with older software and hardware such as printers. Much of the software that was developed prior to 2001, when Windows XP was released will still run on XP, but not on Vista or Windows 7. While Microsoft has heard the cries from those who do not want to upgrade, the simple fact is that technology is changing and will not be stopped.

Windows 7 is scheduled for release on October 22nd, just in time for the holiday season.
